nope.  Haven't been there.  But if bands like RPWL are playing there, I definitely need to go there.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Ugh! Here I am in the middle of Hannover and I didn't even know RPWL were playing.  Where's my TARDIS when I need it?  Cry

One GREAT video of rpwl's gig in Poznan (lately on their 10 years anniversary tour) - a medley of about 20 songs in one minute! this shows once again how gorgeous their skills are

left to right: Marc Turiaux (drums), Kalle Wallner (guitar, vocals), Markus Jehle (keyboards), Yogi Lang (vocals, keyboards), Chris Postl (bass, vocals)

RPWL offered an impressing performance this evening in Hannover featuring keyboarder Markus Jehle as an official band member now, as well as new drummer Marc Turiaux. Although they like to play Pink Floyd songs live, it would be completely wrong to call them a cover band. The albums are full of independent rock songs, however sometimes reaching for a mainstream outfit too. I for one prefer the more psychedelic tinged, such as 'Gentle Art of Swimming' or 'Sleep' for example.

According to the band's 10th birthday Yogi Lang introduced us about the RPWL story in between, including the trouble to define what prog rock is. This was supported by an interesting video show. One song (sorry, can't remember which) covered a furious medley consisting of snippets taken from diverse wellknown (prog) rock titles. RPWL are a pleasant open-minded crew, so you could meet Kalle Wallner and Yogi Lang afterwards at the merchandising desk in order to have some small talk.

set-list:

Astronomy Domine
Start the Fire
Spring of Freedom
Breathe in, Breathe out
In your Dreams
Gentle Art of Swimming
This is not a Prog Song

acoustic set:
Way it is - Crazy Lane - I don't know - Wasted Land

3 Lights
Trying to kiss the Sun
Sleep
Day on my Pillow
Cake
Silenced
Roses

Have a Cigar
Hole in the Sky
