Unicorn Records, the excellent Canadian home for progressive rock (Hamadryad release was one of the best neo-prog albums of the last 10 years), also has a remarkable ability to sign progressive fusion bands, i.e. (usually instrumental) bands that sit right on the cusp of prog rock and jazz rock, following the footsteps of LTE, BLS, etc. Therefore I want to flag up several of the labels bands/albums which I can strongly recommend:

Spaced Out (already here) with "Eponymous 2" and "Slow Gin" - bass player Antoine Farad is magic (but I'm biassed, since he did an improv  prog concert with the free lance British bass player, Steve Lawson, live on my radio show 2 years back - the recording of which might still be on his website) .

Martin Maheux and Circles

The Addison Project: ""The Physics Of Light"*

Uptight: "Opinion"

and most recently:

Alkemy: "Da 63 Projekt" - a French band whose music says jazz rock one day but on hearing it another day says prog rock, to me.

All these albums I've enjoyed

*Why does there appear to be this interest in the science of physics, with these bands e.g LTE, BLS?
