Sounds very good, professionally done and creatively inspired. Thumbs Up

BTW I was rather thinking of Pink Floyd when the sample track hit 2:10 LOL

Well, it's officially released now if anyone's interested.  No longer "unsigned".  Available at most of the usual places.

http://www.amazon.com/Breaking-the-Second-Law/dp/B003WJAVOQ/ref=dm_ap_alb1

...etc.  Hope you like!

By the way, I do have a limited number of actual disks (the release is officially download only).  If anyone can name 3 prog quotes from the album (they're kind of sprinkled here and there), I'll send you a free CD.

Give you a freebie - First song at 2:11 "Gates of Delirium"...

Thanks guys.  While there has been a resurgence of prog or prog-like music over the last several years I haven't seen a lot of instrumental stuff going on in that department.  That's where I'm coming from.

Don't have a MySpace page but I do have a website with some older stuff and collaborations.  It's all instrumental, some more prog, some more rock and there is a cool ambient release from my brother there.  http://www.petroleumfalcon.com

This is the second cover, BTW.  I think the third is pretty obvious by now.  I'll follow up once the release is done.  Should be another month or so hopefully.

It is like 70īs prog. It reminds me of Yes and Robert Fripp. I had to laugh at the Imperial march theme :D

Do you have myspace

Thanks, sometimes you concentrate on producing something so much you loose track of whether it's really all that good or not.  It's a perspective thing I guess.

Anyone have any guesses on where the 3 cover songs come from?  Free CD to the first person who gets all 3 (once it is released).

This is a preview of an upcoming all-instrumental release by Petroleum Falcon.  It's a clip containing over an hour of music edited down to about 4 1/2 minutes.

I think some of you will like at least some of this quite a bit.  As a long time veteran of debates about what is and what is not "prog", I'm not really sure I know any more.  But I can tell you this is neither neo-prog or prog-metal if that helps. Wink

Hope you like.

By the way, there are 3 covers here (hint, all from movies), see if you can pick them out...
