Acid folk legends Spirogyra grace the stage of the Union Chapel on June 6th for their first performance in almost 40 years.  Fronted by founding member Martin Cockerham, Spirogyra are regarded as one of the best and most original acts of the original British psychedelic folk movement, alongside such seminal groups as The Incredible String Band, Comus and The Fairport Convention. Spyrogra will be playing a selection of tracks from their classic albums, including the genre-defining Bells, Boots and Shambles, along with a smattering of new material.

Rounding out the bill will be the debut UK appearance of The Strange Magic from Vancouver, Canada (pristine psychedelic pop, produced by Kurt Dahle of New Pornographers fame) they will be joined by nu-folk UK outfit Circulus (twisted mushroom pixie rock, with the wardrobes to match) Away With The Faeries + Special Guests..

Location: Union Chapel, Compton Ave, Islington. N1 - 2XD, London
Date: Sunday 6th June
Time: 7pm - 10.30pm
Tickets at only £12 available from:

Uhm... not the right part of the forum, but appart from that - what Spiro line-up are we talking about? Just Martin and Mark Francis? ....I haven't heard any of their new albums.
Any news from Barb, Steve and Julian?
Property of Queen Productions...
