Thanks very much for the support...it is much appreciated!

I am now  working very hard now to get CHARLESTOWN ready for release in Autumn..IMO .this is going to be a far harder album to get into straight away than some of my others, buit i think it will be worth it!!!!...this is my A PASSION PLAY as opposed to AQUALUNG!

Anyhow, I am gratified to find that here some people that openly like my music and I do hope I can pick up so more friends along the way Tongue

Take Care
Guy

Check out Number 10, his most recent album, and the four re-issues released this summer. You already have Bilston House so that's three re-issues you should check out.

Then you purchase the other albums. All Manning albums deserve purchases.

A free sampler is available at http://www.guymanning.com/Sampler.html and the PA reviews of this sampler can be found here

I got Songs from the Bilston House free with a Tangent CD and I actually prefer it to the Tangent one! Very good CD, I need to check out some of the others.

Thank you, toroddfuglested. I agree with you that Manning is one of the best bands coming from UK these days, but still underrated, although this man has released 10 excellent albums. I hope people will start to pay attention more, as you can find out in interview, new album is about to be released and we can expect another masterpiece.

As I said in my answer to you in the interview: Four albums is being re-released now and they are excellent.

These are:

"Tall Stories For Small Children" - Remastered with a Bonus Track.

"The Cure"- Remastered with a Bonus Track.

"One Small Step..." - Remastered with a Bonus Track.

"Songs From The Bilston House"- Includes a Bonus Track.

Hot news: Guy Manning has now left The Tangent by mutual agreement. But he will still co-operate with Andy on other projects. The reason is lack of time due to the recent surges in activities of both Manning and The Tangent.

I regard Manning as one of the best bands in the UK right now. I can assure you that I am keeping an eye on his activities and I and probably many others here, including yourself, will come back to him and give him the attention he truly deserve.

Keep his name alive, AstralliS and thank you for putting up this thread. Clap

Clap

Couldn't believe there's no topic of this great musician or if there's any, it's locked.

Any thoughts? Favorite album(s)? Also, check out an interview Prog Sphere completed recently with Guy. The interview is here. He was fresh off of a recent appearance with his band at the Rites of Spring Festival in Gettysburg, USA, so in retrospect it would have been a good idea for us to ask him how it went. Not to worry though, there's plenty more spoken of in here, such as his album's concepts, some of the stories he's written about, curry, and cats! Please enjoy.
