Hi! I am the bassist from Fungus (I know there are several bands with the same name...), we are from Genova, Italy (like Finisterre ) and we play a 70's rock with psych / prog / folk influences. We just self-released our second album, "better than Jesus, after the first one, careful!, was released in 2006 for mellow records.
You can find some samples in our myspace http://www.myspace.com/fungusforyou (stop the annoying ads!) and in http://betterthanjesus.bandcamp.com, where you can also buy the cd. Our official site is http://www.fungus-project.net/, and it is mainly written in italian (because of my laziness... but one day I'll translate everything!). We're looking for reviews, even the bad ones... if we are a prog-band (not so sure ) |

Hello, welcome to Progarchives!
Oh, you're influenced by Psych/Acid in 70s? So sweet ... I'm gonna check your MySpace pages etc. |

Good sounds, active and ardent for heavy rock I feel.
Not sounds so progressive though ... but fantastic heavy rock with a spice of psych essence. |

Almost forgot about this! The music is very good, a mix of psychedelic rock, stoner sounds, classic rock etc. Sounds like Motorsycho's latest, but not that progressive. I think Crossover could do an evaluation for Fungus.

Well, thanks for listening and evaluating, we are "seventies" in inspiration (King Crimson is my favourite band), and ... I hope we sound as an early- seventies band, free from too many schemes and devoted to music!
