I would say In The Court of the Crimson King

De-loused in the Comatorium (Mars Volta), In the Court of the Crimson King (King Crimson)... that's about all I can think of now, but I know there's more.

Nah, I won't think of best if not for favorite:

Camel's is marvellous
Marillion's is very powerful vocal/lyric-wise
Floyd's a classic of psych, and lately I've been enjoying much more than I used to
Santana's debut is really unique
Mahavishnu's debut is stunning
Cobham's is one of my favorite jazz rock albums

I could go on, I've always been very fond of debut albums, they show lots of aspects from the band/artist that they would later wouldn't show.

ITCOTCK - is essential King Crimson

Caravan's debut is terrific

Rush's debut is great but not whole album.

VDGG was ok debut but a lot of mediocre stuff there.
