As much as I love Mike Oldfield's mandolin exercises, I love Can's atmospheric rambling even more.

"Bel Air" is a 'top 5 song' candidate of mine.

I haven't heard the Oldfield piece, but I think Bel Air is one of the finest pieces ever by anyone, so I'll vote for that.

Ommadawn, of course. All the early Oldfield's albums are part of the progressive-symphonic spirit of that era...late psychedelic and hippie people reunited listening to that music...great stuff...you know...WinkWinkWink.

Bel Air for me - I thinks that Ommadawn part 1 is the best thing Oldfield ever did, but I've never liked part 2 that much. Bel Air is flat out brilliant.
