i have been viewing the PA forums everyday for months now, and come to think of it, i do not think i have seen a single reference to Badger-i find this startling, though i realise they are not exactly a household word
for those who do not know, they were a UK prog band that released a debut live album in 1973 called One Live Badger and featured, among others, Tony Kaye from Yes and Flash-this record was produced by Jon Anderson and is a great one
their second album from 1974 called White Lady is different, with different personnel, but i still like it, though it is quite different from the first
would be interesting to hear other impressions and views on this band (luckily, they are in the archive)

I had these 2 on LP in the 70's and One Live Badger on disc. 'Wheel Of Fortune" reminds me of Traffic.

I have tried to chase them down for an interview without any success. I am going past one of the band members address on a 1000 km bike ride in three weeks time and may give his door a knock.

Talking about initiative :-)

Not storm, nor avalanche, nor unleashed dogs can stop Torodd from getting his interview.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Hi,

Tony Kaye was in YES through "The Yes Album" and some time after that left and was eventually replaced by Rick Wakeman.

The "Yes Album" was the album that got me into this band. So naturally when it split I checked out the Badger album which I did not think it was that big a deal. Maybe it just did not have the grandiose, or more "intense" side that YES had already shown that helped define it further with Rick Wakeman.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
