Here's an artist for suggestion: Chimp Spanner, an instrumental metal act from the United Kingdom.

Chimp Spanner is a one-man instrumental metal project by 8-string guitarist Paul Antonio Artiz.  He describes the band's music as "low tuned tech metal and dark seedy fusion with warbly 80's cheesy electro and feel-good euphoria".  I would describe it as technical, guitar-driven instrumental rock with lots of spacey elements akin to Animals as Leaders, Scale the Summit, and, to an extent, Meshuggah.

Here are a couple songs:
"Under One Sky"

"Clarity in Chaos"

Here's a link to the Myspace page:

Chimp Spanner currently has two albums released, the first one, "Imperium Vorago," was released in 2004, and his newest album, "At the Dream's Edge," was just released in April of this year.

I discovered this artist through Last.fm, and I'm enjoying his newest album I just bought off of iTunes.  Hope he gets considered here!

From memory, I think he's been cleared for addition, and we're just awaiting a biography.
