How about Sparks? Stuff like Amateur Hour/This Town Ain't Big Enough is the epitome of prog-pop.

A nice example of a prog pop song is "Generacija 42" by ex-Yugoslavian band Korni Grupa [already in progarchives] and this is a live version which they were performed at Eurovision Song contest in Brighton 1974 [that year, at the same contest, Abba were winning with "Waterloo"!]

Interesting that also ESC is mentioned. I sometimes listen to ESC to see what other people like Evil Smile and the only song that came near to prog for the last two years was this one from The Shin & Mariko (it ended up last place of the semi finals 2014), and it reminds me a bit of Yes and Magma Big smile
