AND The Plastic Ono Band with Lennon in '70 and '71. But I agree that Bruford is tops.

I really like Yes with White, but Bruford fits so much better in my opinion. But I guess since White's been around so long it doesn't matter....

The drumming in Sound Chaser is mind blowing. But Bruford was definitely yes' best drummer.

Bruford is much much better, of course. Please, listen to Close to the edge played by Bruford, particularly at the beginning, the bass and drums part (and later the mellotron comes in). Bruford playing there is AWESOME!!. And then listen to White playing that song live. He plays it completely PLAIN, taking no risks at all. Why?. Because he can't play that part !!!

I rather admire White for learning all the drumming parts for Yes in double quick time after Bruford departed. How long did he have to learn them. A couple of weeks wasn't it?

Edit...It was three days actually! Three days to learn the live repertoire, not bad. Talk about deep end!
