Yeah, it's a perfect artist for them.  A church organ lovers dream album.  More people on this site should check it out.

Not as famous and essential as the frist two Sorenti's albums, his third one from 1974 is really good too.

I'd like to have words to express my thoughts about this beautiful record. Maybe I'm the only one, but I hear the spirit of the Beatles of Abbey Road blowing on Hoa ... Maybe not ?

Can't sleep and travelled all night on Andrea's blog. The ARPIA's album RACCONTO D'INVERNO is fantastic. I hear strong connections with the first PIERROT LUNAIRE's work. Love it. Heart Thanks Andrea.

Arbeit March Frei was a shock. After that, I could only be disappointed by the following ones. Too similar perhaps. Accustomed to giant steps of bands like QVL between their first and second album, I was expecting a revolution. I finally found it with this album of 1978, so different and fresh. I love it.

I will be interested to see if I like this album or the Ornithos album better. Kind of like choosing between cookies and cake, from my perspective!

I am Jim, it was posted last week along with the Ornithos album so will hopefully be here any day now. I'll enjoy comparing them.

That's the only Area album (from the original band) that I don't own. Maledetti was my least favourite and I guess I was expecting a similar one, though with a band like Area that's probably a bad asumption to make.

Wow! Thanks for the alert!

Bacio's record is my most long-awaited release of any band, even more so than Änglagård!

I think it's going to be a good listen. Tongue

You know, I only have the first Bacio album, and it's not a favorite. I have noticed that the second is much more beloved, so I should probably get that at Nearfest this weekend..........then I'll think about this new one.

Another wow from me here. I didn't know of any BdM relateded activities, but after reading Finnforest's review of Ornithos, I will most defintely get that one too. A good year for BdM fans I guess, shame they are so few and far between.Wink

The first BdM was a calling card, the next was a love letter. Their second album was so much better and the praise it has been given is a proof of that. Sometimes great albums comes along and make you be a teenager again and that happened to me when I heard Dadga. I still can't fathom how good it is - for me it is among the ten best records I've ever heard. That list contains some Genesis, Yes, Tull and Crimson. Bacio della Medusa have earned their position among them. I wish I could lend you my ears! Smile

Does anybody here know where one should order then BdM cd from? There is no indication on their home page that they are about to release a new album (latest update was Oct 2011). Nor have I had a newsletter alert about the album. And Google points me to this site when I research! Is the album out or not?

LOL You'd be right.
It's a very far cry from Maledetti, which ranks as one of my most beloved Area releases. Maledetti is however not for the squeamish.
This one is highly recommended and is probably the best way of approaching the band methinks. Lots of quirky melodies on it.
