Oh, Jim, you need to get onto that first Quella album right away! Bit rougher around the edges, but just as good as the second one!

Finn/Jim - "The poll ended the right way...." eh?! Game on, bring it lol!

No, I have a lot of love for both of them, just impossible to compare them because they sound nothing like eachother!

Nicholas, hope you dig `Roller' - words will be spoken sternly if you don't lol!

hehBig smile

For anyone into QVL who missed our interview a while back, check it out.  Some good stuff there about the rather reclusive band.  There's a reunion I would really just love to see.....

holy dear god....ROLLER is amazing!!! Micheal. I totally understand and respect you choosing ROLLER to be in your sacred, top 10 world. It is brilliant. Big highlights for me were the tracks IL RISVEGLO DEL SERPENTINE, ROLLER and of course GOBLIN. The organ, moody soundscapes have me so hooked. SUSPIRIA is next. :)
I am really pleased with Goblin's sound and I think I would rank ROLLER to be one of the very best albums in 1976, only behind GENESIS's TRICK OF THE TAIL. This has been a great welcome back for me. :)
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Hey Nick, glad you liked it! Also secretly glad you didn't end up thinking I was talking a big game and over-hyping it lol!

Roller is classic Goblin, to be sure.  Only Bagarozzo Mark tops it in my humble opinion!

Roller has one of the best RPI productions, sound wise. Everything just sounds so crispy!!

Coaster, I'm not as much as of a fan of the Bug Mark album, although it's still a fine RPI album! You've actually inspired me to dig it out again, I haven't listened to it in a while!

I really like their `Britannico' album (forgive my ignorance off the top of my head about the proper title), very underrated and a little forgotten in the Goblin scheme of things! Such a lovely, upbeat album (only that wretched `My Damned Sh*t' pop song on it lets it down!), I think I've mentioned to Pierre before that it reminds me a little of that French Air band?

Absolutely not. ROLLER is of incredible music quality. I mean, the classic mix of a mini moog synth, harpsichord and deep strong organ just have my ears reeling for more!! It's excellent and I shall review it at some point in the near future.

Oh probably should stay away from that one then. I cannot stand AIR. Lol

Pierre, I quite enjoyed that Goblin album `La Via Della Droga', I gave it a decent review a little while back. That band has a whole bunch of fairly unknown albums that usually have at least one or two superb tracks buried amongst a whole stack of decent little pieces.

Dedalus!! Love it Pierre, I'm going to dig it out for my nightshift that starts tonight! A wonderful album

Listened to QVL's 1rst a couple of times on the tube, stunning.  I have got to get this to add to the other one!  Both of their albums are different yet beautiful.  Too early to decide, but I cannot get Sogno, Risveglio E...  out of my head.  It is so hauntingly sweet and sad.  It makes me want to cry...Cry, but in a good way.

Oh yeah, gotta love the Roller...

Ah yes, excellent stuff. Classic Italian jazz rock - I haven't played that one in ages but I'm inspired to dig it out again.

^ Pierre, there is a CD out for Correani. You can get it from Greg Walker at Synphonic, or I'm sure the label will sell them as well. Wonderful album!

Procession is one of my favorite bands, and I'm excited to hear this new live album. I'm sure the quality is suspect, but I'm game! My copy is shipping from Greg today, so I should have it soon. If by the time I hear it no one else has said anything, I'll report back.
