^ I'm sure they'll repress that before too long. Go with Chocolate Kings--I think the music is incredible! The polarizing aspect is Lanzetti's voice, which I happen to like. But even if you don't, the music is still amazing, very symphonic and energetic. Jet Lag is good too, especially if you like Fusion.

I've been listening to it on repeat the last few days and it's just getting better and better, this is superb music RPI or not, it even reminds me of Maxophone (minus the brass) in a few places. I begining to think Triumvirat Doug's rating is not that far off at all.

The opener is a killer...

^ Thanks guys for the recommendation, got the Chocolate Kings today and am listening for the first time now.  Wow, totally different than the big three but in a good way.  Guy does sound like Garbriel.

Gli Spettri will have a new concept album called "MMCMLXXIII…LA NEMICA DEI RICORDI" out soon.

This one will feature Elsia Montaldo (Il Tempio delle Clessidre) on guest vocals (!?)

There was some very high praise on this new album by the lable boss of Black Widow.

Some very good news, at least for me:

La Torre dell'Alchimista started recording a new album!!!

Seven years after the marvelous "Neo" I had lost all hope for that to happen..

How good is that album, H?! I give it quite a workout pretty often!

Definitely will look into this when it's released!

What have been your particular favourites this year so far?

To me "Neo" is the strongest Retro Symph Prog album of this millennium!
Absolutley wonderfull perfectly balanced Album.

My favourites of this year? Hard to say, a lot of good stuff.

I enjoyed a lot of live Albums and DVDs by 70s bands.
(Museo Rosenbach, Alphataurus, Maxophone, RDM, PdP, Nuova Idea)

I love the remake abum by Latte Miele.

From the "new" bands it would choose "Aurora Lunare" as the best so far

But they are closly followed by:

Entity
Astrolabio
LogoS
Nodo Gordiano
Syndone
Greenwall
FEM

There is quite a number of others I really like too.
(nad most likley I have simply forgotten something)

Still have to get the new AdC.

A list I keep of what is still to come:

Promenade - tba (Altrock/Fading)
Barock Project - tba (about 75% recorded)
Breznev Fun Club - tba (Altrock) (half of it is recorded (for 3-4 years now)
VIII Strada - Babylon (if it is ever going to happen)
Il Tempio delle Clessidre - Live in Korea DVD (still with Galifi)
Fonderia - tba
Egonon - "IN VITRO" (mixing)
Abash -tba (mixing)
Lagartija - tba (mixing)
Narrow Pass (recording)
DAAL - "Dances of the drastic navels" (with Tirill Mohn (White Willow) and a 30 min Suite)
Gran Turismo Veloce - tba (with Tony Levin, Colin Edwin, Craig Blundell and synphonic orchestra)
Cherry Five - Il Pozzo dei Giganti (No Joke!!!!!!!!)
Delirium -L’era della Menzogna"
Spettri - MMCMLXXIII…LA NEMICA DEI RICORDI
Unreal City - tba (January 2015)
Il Castello di Atlante - ArX Atlantis
CATAFALCHI DEL CYBER - tba
Maxophone - tba
Alluminogeni - tba (actually 3 albums in the works!)
Il Giardino Onirico - tba (Work in Progress)
MOOGG - tba (WIP)
Slivovitz
IANVA has something cooking maybe alive DVD

Semiramis seem to have reformed and will at least play a concert in Rome in September.

There will be a Banco live 2CD (with a lot of guest vocalists)
also in September.

I wonder, is it a true reunion of the original members?  Will the Zarrillo brothers both be there?

I found this, a real treat.  If you scroll down toward the bottom you will see 3 old old color photo snapshots of Semiramis in their rehearsal space.  Wow!
