More new bands to explore that I am not familiar with, thanks The H!

I did like Todd's post of Armando Tirelli Clap

I just got Locanda delle fate's album today Forse le lucciole.... but have not listened to it completely yet.  So far so good!

New archival release from 1974 on BTF/AMS:

Kundalini Shakti Devi

"As sometimes happens, the eponymous “Kundalinî Shakti Devî” release is a mysterious album, hidden for decades - was recorded back in 1974! - on a tape stored in some drawer, that has been reopened and rediscovered only today. History repeats: the mastermind of the project, Roberto “Paramhansa” Puddu, managed to put together an ensemble of seven musicians with whom he recorded three long tracks, lasting an average of over 15 minutes each, but the genre in 1974 was already struggling to attract the interest of some music manager who could produce and distribute the LP.

The music is inspired by the classic Italian progressive rock, with lyrics about science fiction ("Sensitivity", "Galactic Museum") and criticism of the consumer society ("Flash"), while the ‘external’ influences 'external' carry the name of Van Der Graaf Generator and some German cosmic music – just listen to the long instrumental song sections to realize that yourself!

An exceptional discovery, to stay besides the minor – but not less important, of course! – classics of Italian prog."

Can't wait to hear the rest of this one!

Yes it does, this one is their first (the one I posted was the second Album)

I've tracked down three Albums (all are great) so far. But there seems
to be some more (Vinyl LP, EP and 7") which I couldn't find.

Yah, it is possible. I have a deep 70's italian soundtracks collection in CD, but a friend of mine has a whole room full of vinyls.

This very rare one 1969 (Orlandi / Alessandroni) is excellent.

Great stuff, hellogoodbye.

This is a box I never dared to open (cause it would likley leave me broke).

What would you recommend as a starting set of CDs of this genre?

Morricone, of course, but let's start with some more obscure stuff.
Stevio cipriani : La polizia chiede auto

Gianni Ferrio - La Morte Accarezza A Mezzanotte

Wow, Pierre, I'm kind of away for a couple of days, and I come back to a stack of recommendations! Thanks as always

Anyway, I got to see Goblin again last night, I posted the review and some pics here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=94455

Never did I think I'd ever get to see that band in my lifetime in Australia like last year, let alone TWICE.

I cancelled my web order and bought it this afternoom.
The bad news, only one, is the sound. It sounds like it was recorded in my grandmother kitchen. But don't be afraid. It's very listennable. simply it could have been better.
The good news, many, is that the music is absolutely wonderfull.  Long et complex songs, with many variations, atmospheres, fantastic arrangements and incredible melodies. You think of Capuano or Locurcio first, but no. It's a new voice, a new voice full of fantasy.
Jim, don't know where you are now, but bless you for introducing me to that inexhaustible source of beauty.
