Did a search, found nothing so here we go.

I suggest The Nels Cline Singers be added to the archives. The music is fresh, inspired, rooted in the past but certainly looking towards the future. Jazz-rock seems to be the basis for most of the stuff I've heard, but there are many influeces throughout (rock, electronic, avant-garde, post-rock). I would say Jazz-rock would be the obvious first choice, but with the range of influences Eclectic might also work.

I'm sure they have a myspace or website, but my computer isn't working so well right now, so forgive me for not providing links.

Additionally, Nels Cline has some sort of solo career so perhaps he could be considered for addition as well, though admittedly, I'm unfamilar with his solo works.

Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Yes. What I've heard of the the Singers seems sufficiently rock to me, although I still haven't gotten around to buying Initiate, but I'm not sure about the rest of his solo work. I'm not all that familiar with it, but it seems to be both less out and more jazz from what I've read. But I could be wrong: after all there must be a reason he joined Wilco...
