Octavarium bores me and A Change of Seasons is my favorite Dream Theater song. What to vote...

WAY TOO EASY MAN!

Octavarium is well played and well composed, but way too perfectly arranged that it seems way too structured for me.

A Change of Seasons, on the other hand, is a real Prog Metal epic. It has its flaws, especially the bad-sound drums, but the composition is excellent and Petrucci's guitar stuff is really good.

Octavarium sounds more like symphonic prog than prog metal... I think that may be why I prefer it to ACOS.

Don't you think they're a bit low in the mix? They don't sound 'rockin'. I didn't mean that Portnoy's playing was bad.

Don't consider Octavarium to be that great....Parts of it are brilliant though.

Seasons is awesome and gets my vote.

ACOS is pretty choppy but overall not too bad. Octavarium is one of the few Dream Theater songs I find myself really wanting to listen to these days, so it clearly takes my vote. To me, for whatever reason, ACOS feels pretty pompous and overblown while 8v feels light-hearted and fun.

Again Pablo ir right, the drums are not well mixed, but that song stand tall anyway. Octavarium is a great piece of perfection, but I prefer the ol' vibe of ACOS. that's it...
