Actually, the reason they're in there is that, upon learning some of their songs on guitar, I found out how remarkably similar to thrash metal they are to play

I still like them, surprised after all this time and so much expansion in my musical taste.

The lyrics are still great, but alot of the "anti bush" stuff feels so dated now

Man, I never could decide between System of a Down, or Toxicity.
If someone made me choose, Id probably go Toxicity.

Oh and captain, "Groove Metal" is considered "post thrash" or basically med tempo thrash, with more groove than technicality, though its still there. Metal Nerd!
So Thrash for LoG isn't really that strange

really? I liked it. As well as Mezmerize. Not as much as their older stuff but I enjoyed it.
