Hey everyone.
Im new to this forum but i've looked about & i obivously like it alot ;0)
Couldnt find anything to do with these guys, aPAtT, though so thought i may as well start something myself.
it's a modern twist, rather than all the classic prog but im guessing a few of you will know about them here??
I'd love to know what other people think of them because its rare that i get to talk about them with people very much and i rate them very highly ;0)
ive seen them a couple of times now as well and they are ridiculously good!

I've checked their MySpace page and samples.

http://www.myspace.com/apatt

Indeed very quirky, eccentric and interesting, but too poppy to be approved by PA (especially RIO / Avant Team) methinks.

Good Avant-pop Crevice. Clap

yeah they are quite pop in places (in more recent years i think), especially on the myspace too but theyve got stuff all over the web, (last fm etcetra), and their earlier albums are NOT pop!
i literally just saw another thread on here that  was saying there doing a concept album too about chess:  http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/apatt
how can that not be prog!!! ? c'moooonnn! ;0)

I've not had the chance to see them live yet but I'll hopefully be rectifying that in the not-too-distant. I love "A Black & White Mass" to bits, easily one of my favourite albums of the decade. What with all the singles, split EPs and whatnot it's pretty hard to keep track of their discography. Did they record any other full albums?

I know they did an EP years ago but I cant get hold of it... i don't even know if they sell it any more, i think it says they sold out on their website. Think ive heard some of it online though, it's really lo-fi, experimental and toally different to black and white mass but you can tell its them still if you know what i mean. Err, there's an album called LP from years ago too that I have- still kinda lo-fi but some really good stuff on it. I think they've had a fair bit of vynil out too but i havent got any of that yet because i dont have a record player and dont want to tease myself ;0) but yeah, think theyre due for some more stuff to come out and about time too i think!

you should definatly go watch them live.
i'd never heard of them before i went to see them but theyre crackers ;0)
Really entertaining to watch and amazing players too.
