Now that would go perfectly with the pie plus the Chantilly cream I plan to whip up later - when should I expect you over?

On my way.......prolly 700 miles though so it might be about 3am

Just tried the sauce and it turned out pretty good this time.  Not always easy to get the right taste as I don't really use a recipe.  Little of this, little of that...trying to learn to cook like my Grandma did.

It might be worth the 700 mile trip at that.
 
Always challenging trying to recreate a family recipe.  If you think you've got it, could you send me the details by PM?  It sounds wonderful.
