Never tried it, we don't tend to eat sweet potatoes in NY (where I'm from).  The only pie I'm really willing to  contemplate besides apple is lemon meringue.  I just don't get the concept of potatoes and pie.

I know what you mean, it's not an appetizing prospect.   But when I tasted this pie from a local baker, I was blown away.   I won't be going back to pumpkin any time soon.

I don't care for pumpkin pie so giving it up would be no sacrifice.
