if you add bacon or pancetta to Fettuccine Alfredo, it kind of becomes fettuccine carbonara.

and I still hate peas, even if bacon gets involved.

That's true it's close; eggs in Carbonara and occasional cream in Alfredo.  Carbonara is delicious but so rich I don't think I could eat it more than a few times a year.

now;  Banana & peanut butter, milk

actually, that's how I feel about Fettuccine Alfredo. I don't think I've had it in a decade, as the thought of all that butter and cream is very off-putting.  With carbonara it's mostly about the eggs and bacon (with just a splash of cream for, well, creaminess), so it really just tastes like a late breakfast.

Damn, now I'm hungry. Fortunately, I brought in feta cheese buttermilk biscuits for today's breakfast pot-luck.  I heartily recommend this recipe for all my fellow foodies: http://www.popsugar.com/food/Buttermilk-Feta-Biscuits-24886716
