Had my first taste of Ethiopian food at a local restaurant.  Very authentic and my heartburn medication is likely going to surrender and beg for mercy.  Damn good though.

Yeah, lots of brightly colored sauces, each could have veggies, lentils, or meat, served with a flatbread.  You eat with your hands, or bread, no utensils.  Everything is very spicy but delicious.  Closest comparison that I've personally had is probably Indian food, but the spices are different.

Here's the full spread with the meat and fish.....this would be for a larger group. 

Great place, the only downside is you risk getting robbed, assaulted, and car broken into....rough part of town.  But might be worth the risk.

Not kidding either.  There was some gang shooting a few blocks away an hour or so after we left.
