wow, kinda surprised we never got this in the states (or maybe not ).. great kitsch though there was a whole period in the 70s when many shows adopted a very Prog-influenced, post ELP music format, i.e. In Search Of , or even just the evening news Edited by Atavachron - August 05 2010 at 17:36 |

It is a cult series in Germany. Unfortunately it only had seven episodes. |

The theme to House M.D. isn't really prog but you've got to love it anyway, great song:

Damn, just when I read almost every post and no one had mentioned it, you come up, haha.
Well, then I'll post this one, though like House's, this is neither prog, but you got to love it too:

For a man who looked like a village sub-postmaster Barry Gray rocked! The closing music for UFO was probably as proggy as he got, a really spooky bit of electronica. This used to scare the life out of me as a kid and made me think aliens were coming to get me! |

It's Pittsburgh, we have an H
Anyway, it may or may not have prog credibility but the Dilbert intro/theme was one of the best around, while the show was on, even if the music is just Danny Elfman reusing his old stuff.

The original theme tune for "gritty" police drama The Bill was very proggy in a Sonic the Hedgehog kinda way. It even features odd time signatures and a Wakeman-esque middle eight.
