A couple others have mentioned Frank Zappa...I'd also add "You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol 2 - The Helsinki Concert" - Ruth Underwood's live vibe work is fantastic.  Another great FZ vibe master is Ed Mann - check him out on "Ship Arriving too Late to Save a Drowning Witch"...

Since you mentioned fusion, try Mothership Returns (Gary Burton + Chick Corea + other big boys). Some of it it's fusion, but there is also modal, bop and some blues. One of the best jazz albums out there.

From Bill Bruford's Master Strokes 1978-1985 album, there are two good ones:  "If You Can't Stand the Heat" and "Beelzebub."  Both are good xylophone instrumental prog songs...

There's many Mike Oldfield epics with vibraphones, marimba etc... But the best track with vibraphones and marimba is Incantations.

I'd highly recommend L'Orchestre Sympathique's En concert à la grande passe for this. Largely acoustic jazz rock (only the bass is electric) which heavily features Jean Vanasse's vibraphone work. A beautiful album that I'd say is worth hearing for everyone, even those who don't normally enjoy fusion.

Also worthy of mention is Hermetic Science, a project of prog scholar and percussionist (mainly vibes and marimba) Ed Macan. To be entirely honest this band doesn't really do much for me, but if you want prog-related music that is heavily based on tuned percussion it's got to be a prime candidate as the band was just Macan plus a bassist and a drummer.

I'd like to recommend Babadag. They are prog folk band from Poland. 









As some pleasant & vibraphone oriented jazz, I'd like to recommend Nihco Gallo. He's a jazz vibraphonist & drummer from Dover, UK.
