Hemina (Australian Progressive Metal)

As recommended by Any Colour You Like, I am posting this here for fellow Progressive Metal fans to check out.

"Hemina is a Progressive Metal band started by Douglas Skene in 2008. The
original focus of the band was to create a Progressive Metal project
that blended the conceptual and forward thinking nature of Progressive
Rock with the sonic extremities of Progressive Metal. After some initial
hiccups with lineup formations the band settled with its current
personnel in which a prolific amount of writing and rehearsing has
occurred.

Hemina released a promotional EP 'As We Know It' in
August 2010 which will contain 3 songs from their upcoming and written
album 'Synthetic' as well as some extra tracks to give a sample of the
musical journey one can come to expect from listening to Hemina."

If you're into the less cliched Prog Metal bands like Pain of Salvation, Shadow Gallery or Sieges Even, you could be into Hemina. I would be interested to hear anyone's opinions. There are whole tracks from the EP minus segues on Facebook and also MySpace (barre one edited track).
