OK, here's another jazz rock/fusion suggestion from Uruguay.
They were formed in 1969 but didn't released anything until 1976, 'Goldenwings', and in 1977 they released their second and last album, 'Magic Time', featuring famous Uruguayan percussionist/singer Ruben Rada.

This jazz is somewhere between Weather Report and Soft Machine....The first track taken from  the second album makes me think to Pat Metheny (the voices).
