Sound & Shape are a band from Nashville, Tennessee USA and I think they would fit well on this site as either Heavy Prog or Crossover Prog.
L-R: David D. Somerall (bass guitar), Jerry Pentecost (percussion), and Ryan Caudle (vocals, guitar) Here's their Myspace page (it has music and loads of info/reviews on them): http://www.myspace.com/soundandshape1 Also [For Collaborators who are willing to review/evaluate them for this site]: I have two extra copies of their latest EP, The Love Electric, that Dave (bass guitarist) from the band sent me... If you'd like a CD, PM me and I'll see what I can do. In my personal opinion, the band seem to mix characteristics of dredg, Pink Floyd, the Mars Volta and perhaps a bit of Rush. They really are a talented band and very energetic as well as being well-versed musically. I think they should be added to the site because: 1) Vocal harmonies/Multi-vocal sections 2) Extended songs 3) Non-conventional song structures 4) Instrumental virtuosity 5) Inventive and interesting lyrics Edited by ptkc123 - August 13 2010 at 15:00 |

Very interesting band. The music sounds like a mix of melodic prog with math-rock and in general technical prog. Could be either Heavy or Crossover on PA... I'll aks the Heavy Prog team first. Thanks for the suggestion.
