I go for "I Get Up, I Get Down." I used to like "Carpet Crawlers" a lot (my old username was taken from the chorus,) but it loses its luster after a few listens. While still a nice tune, it's also very repetitive.

Carpet Crawlers is a great song, one of the better tracks of The Lamb. Still it is no contest for I Get Up, I Get Down. Its church organ section is one of the highlights of progressive rock.
Edit: Oops, I clicked by acident on the Carpet Crawlers button.

Carpet Crawlers. It is a great stand alone song. "I get up I get down" is a great section of a great song, but for me doesn't stand up as a stand alone song.

It would be in good standing if it could stand up as a stand alone song, but I can't stand that it doesn't stand up as a stand alone song.
Or does it stand up as a stand alone song?
Take the stand "I Get Up I Get Down" can you stand the scrutiny?

I vote "I Get Up" ... I like The Carpet Crawlers but not as much as everyone else seems to. Whereas, "I Get Up" is my favorite part of Close to the Edge.

Like I said both are superb, but I think I'll give it to Yes since Anderson's vocals plus Rick's keys, it slightly beats the spine-chilling Gabriel performance.
