Both mind-blowing keyboardists and very original ones, both from different time and place, and both rather overlooked by the Prog community.
Here are two samples that show how characteristic are both artists:
If you don't own any of their albums, you can vote according to those samples. Edited by The Quiet One - August 16 2010 at 13:37 |

Interesting poll! I know Hiromi well, and just a bit of Hermeto Pascoal.
From what I know Hiromi is great new generation mainstream contemporary jazz/fusion musician, and Hermeto - almost legendary figure with long list of releases from free jazz to Latin pop to avant fusion. Difficult to choose, but possibly few Hermeto albums I heard wasn't his best - I wasn't too impressed. Hiromi are quite predictable, but really plays great quality music. My vote goes to Hiromi |

Get Hermeto's live album "Montreux Jazz Festival" that's where his Jazz Fusion and Eclectisism is shown at his best.
About Hiromi, I wouldn't consider her mainstream jazz fusion, at least not 'Time Control'. 'Another Mind' does incline more towards contemporary jazz like Hancock's New Standard or the latest stuff of Earthworks though. Edited by The Quiet One - August 16 2010 at 15:37 |

Hiromi, I absolutely love her passion for music and she's one of my favorite pianists in music today. Incredible player.
