I remember the dress!  But purely on Eurovision terms I liked it.  Nearly all Eurovision songs are pretty well dull as dishwater, run of the mill, standard (safe) either ballads or hi-energy eurodisco or occasionally traditional type (folky)songs.  Norway did step slightly left of centre with there tune and the song was quite good too - slightly dark feeling to it.  The good thing is they got some votes for that. 
 
I like Eurovision and I like complaining about it.  I like to think I can spot a good song and I enjoy sl*g.ing off the tat.  I like the fact that occasionally a little bravery is rewarded (Lordi ?  was that their name) and that is why we (UK) will never win it until we step out of line!  LOL
