just testing music fans, for their knowledge, both are legends both changed their name, both gott cought in their alias, one with cocaine the other with alcohol, both won over their addictian and are today ICONS, legends and representative persons for what rock'n'roll is and what good and bad can come out of it, how it is destructive and how it can help out others in terrible situation, one playes golf the other playes tennis Tongue, one was a child prodigy, the other a rebel, both took livepreformances to a higher level, both can play for 2-3 hours live without evver playing a medicore or halfknown song.

I like them both but my vote is for Vince and his boa over Reginald and his boa.

Elton, he sings and plays wonderfully. 'Madman' and 'goodbye' are fantastic albums.

I am not that impressed by the leader of Alice Cooper (his best albums, 'Killer' and 'Welcome to my nightmare' are ok but not jaw-dropping).

^ radicall diferences is often most interesting i think, but both have releast over 20 albums since late 60s both were in contact with prog-legends, Cooper with Zappa and Beefheart, and Elton with the Shulmans, Hodgson, and Fripp (he was in Simon Dupree for two years or less and playd piano, Hammond and mellotron)

Reg, for his string of classic early seventies albums Tumbleweed Connection -> Captain Fantastic.

I went off him after watching Tantrums and Tiaras, where he came across as a kingsized pain in the butt. However after watching a recent BBC documentary, where he talked about his suicide attempt and other things, I really felt for him... he came over as vulnerable. I won't say I felt sorry for him, like he needs my sympathy/pity, but I like him again. Bernie Taupin seems like a cool guy too.

Good poll.

Vince wins for me. Anyone who released From The Inside deserves to win such a poll.

no comparison in my book. Alice Cooper is not only an innovator, he puts on a better show than just about anybody in rock. Also, he churned out half a dozen completely amazing albums in the seventies. Sir Elton is okay.
