Ben Sharp has released his second full length album, entitled Beacons.
For those unaware of this project, Cloudkicker is a solo instrumental project with roots in experimental metal, post-metal and math metal. For fans of Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, Periphery and Chimp Spanner. You can download the album here, for free. Although, any donations to the artist would be much appreciated! Had to update my soundcard drivers, but it sounds AWESOME so far! On this release and his other 2010 release Ben has really defined/perfected his own sound. Loving this one so far.

Yes, from my first run through of the album I noticed a tad more variation?
At first listen I think I like this album better than The Discovery (which was of course quite good) |

It sounds more dynamic to me. Almost like he's found a mid-range in between ambient and full-out chaos.

I'll be giving this a 5* if it continues at this current rate of perfection Loving it supremely so far. Easily my favourite out of any thing he's done thus far.
