Topic: Area tracks (first four albums) Posted: September 21 2010 at 15:54
I love all of the Area albums these are off, though I do have a particular thing for the lowest rated of the first five albums, Caution Radiation Area.
If I were to choose one, it would be "Mirage". It is a track which
really entranced me on first listen and solidified my Area appreciation
(a very easy one for me to love considering my tastes).
So, if you can choose one, which one in particular for you?

That one track with the snake-charming Arabian melodies that turns into a complete chaos before it resolves into the most poignant ballad ever written for yodeling vocals

^ It's a great track.
I thought Area was more popular at PA than the poll results indicate. If one hasn't heard every album represented here, feel free to vote anyway. I expect some simply can't remember the names of the tracks (something that's happening to me more and more as I get older).

Well, it is an intimidating list. And for many, an intimidating band. The first time I heard the opening of "Arbeit Macht Frei," with the chanting that initiates "Luglio, Agosto, Settembre (Nero)" and the gripping music that follows, I knew I was onto something. What an introduction!
