Believe, the outstanding art/progressive rock band led by the former guitarist of the Polish prog rock legend Collage, return with their fourth studio album. The new material entitled “World Is Round” will be released in January 2011.

The album, produced by Winicjusz Chróst, the former guitarist of the Polish blues rock giant Breakout, features a brand new keyboard player Konrad Wantrych, as also the lyrics-writing debut of Believe's singer Karol Wróblewski. Sublime compositions set a background for a metaphysical reflection on human life, its cyclical nature and ultimate significance. It’s a perfect album for a demanding and sensitive listener!
Current line-up:
Mirek Gil – gitary, Karol Wróblewski – wokal, Satomi – skrzypce, Vlodi – perkusja, Przemas – gitara basowa oraz Konrad Wantrych – instrumenty klawiszowe.

Believe - an outstanding art-rock act formed by the guitarist Mirek Gil, the former leader and composer of Polish prog-rock legend Collage. Believe’s debut album “Hope to See Another Day” (2006) received very good reviews from both media and fans. The music appealed to the lovers of the old Collage but also to the fans of Porcupine Tree or Pink Floyd. The follow-up album entitled “Yesterday Is A Friend” (2008) brought powerful sound full of faith and melody and gained them many new fans. In July 2008 Metal Mind Productions released the band’s first DVD entitled “Hope To See Another Day Live”. At the end of 2008, the band changed their line-up and began a new era of their career with a new vocalist – Karol Wróblewski. In mid 2009, they released their third studio album “This Bread Is Mine”. The highly anticipated follow up album entitled “Worls Is Round” will be released in January 2011.

„Everything a man does, be it good or bad, comes back to him sooner or later" – says the vocalist Karol Wróblewski. “Thus, a certain cycle that constitutes one's rhythm of life is formed. It is owing to this circularity that one can have a closer look at their own life, define oneself and draw nearer to some kind of truth, whatever it may be. This circulation of human acts and desires is defined by the simple fact that the world is round, hence the album's title.”

Very exciting. The previous album was a bit of a let down, so this should give us a very good idea about the band's direction.  Smile

Believe, an outstanding art/prog rock band, has just finished shooting footage for their video clip "Cut Me Paste Me". The video will be promoting their forthcoming album "World Is Round".

Why was that particular song chosen for that purpose? As the band say: "'Cut Me Paste Me' represents the heavier part of 'World Is Round'. The song's uncompromising melody and arrangement is the reason why the video for this particular song is being produced. We thought it was worth making use of powerful images to emphasize that. The whole video will constitute a metaphor of the song's subject matter, which is about the way the media today think of a human being, that is, as of an empty object. This object can be 'cut & pasted' and, finally, 'deleted'. Whether the video will turn out to be what it was intended to, judge for yourselves."

The footage for the video was shot on the 28th of November at two clubs in Warsaw: La Melange and H20. The director of the video is Tomek Niedzielko, and the whole production is being coordinated by the Magogo crew. The video will feature a guest appearance by Iza Meldo.

you'll find some pictures from the set and, in a couple of days, a trailer for the video will be published.

"World Is Round" is Believe's fourth studio album. The production of the album was handled by the former guitarist of the Polish blues-rock legend Breakout - Winicjusz Chróst. It was recorded this summer in the following line-up: Mirek Gil (guitars), Karol Wróblewski (vocals), Satomi (violin), Vlodi (drums), Przemas (bass guitar), and Konrad Wantrych (keys). "World Is Round" features excellent songs, constituting a metaphisical reflection on human life, its cyclical nature and ultimate meaning. It's an excellent album for demanding and sensitive listeners!
