These two bands have really taken the djent tech metal scene by storm in the past few years. Periphery has their debut album out (s/t) and Tesseract has their debut EP out (Concealing Fate).
Who do you like more? I went for Tesseract because of the more melodic style of music, but Periphery is great too.

Periphery because of... Misha Mansoor, Matt Halpern and Spencer Sotelo, those guys are so incredibly good.. Amazing band, would love to see them live.
