From Unexpect's website:

October 5, 2010

2010 has been quite scarce in terms of words isn't it ?.

...so much to say though !
Let us fill those empty spaces with some radioactive thoughts.

On the stage side : For those who are not yet aware of it, we'll start an Eastern Canadian Tour in  less than 1 week ! At our sides will play the bands STREAM OF PASSION from Netherlands and MANAHIL from Montreal.

The following bands will also be part of the musical rumble :

Metric Madness @ Rimouski

Instanzia @ Saint-Hyacinthe

Elliptic @ Quebec City

Inner Control @ Jonquière
Despised Icon, Misery Index & more @ Rouyn-Noranda

Unveil et Smelly Pedros @ Sherbrooke

Half Past Four @ Toronto

Transe Metal Machine @ Montreal
Necronomicon, Insides Out & Signs of Chaos @ Ottawa ( without Manahil & Stream of Passion)

To celebrate this pre-pumpkins tour, we'll not stop at one crime...we'll indeed play 2 new songs for the curious minds !

Since we never mentioned the following tidbit in this newsletter here it is : We now have an official Facebook page... A lot of you are already participating...we love tho read you so keep it up !

Speaking of novelties...
After some deep and profound thinking, we finally decided to take back the reins of our destiny and go Independent for the release of the next album !
We gave this option a lot of attention/thinking time and the conclusion was that we think it's all positive and for the best !
And the fact of removing intermediaries will let us be even closer to our public!

The album has been completed for a while and we're currently working on some re-adjustments so that we can release it as soon as we have the ideal conditions. More details to come about a release date. Thanks for your patience...it'll be worth it we assure you !

Now...probably a lot of you already heard about Exod's departure from the band a few months ago. Some say that he's traveled in time, exploded, and thus would be at the origin of the Big Bang.
But that is one wacky theory...some people are crazy I tell ya !
The lifestyle and sacrifices that goes with touring is not to everyone's taste and it's been the main reason behind his choice ( this...and the fact that peanut butter is definitely too hard to find in Europe).
We were already talking about all of this while touring North America in 2008 so it's been a well thought decision that we all knew of for a long time.
That said, it doesn't mean that there won't be more future collaborations with him as we're still very good friends and are, as always, totally musically compatible...as you'll be able to hear on the new album ;)

For the shows, Exod, our favourite cyborg, prepared an electronic alter ego (read : a sequence ) which reproduce exactly the same sonorities as when he was physically with us. It feels like playing with an invisible Exod.
We're not currently searching for a replacement but we stay open to diverse possibilities !

Talk soon !

Thanks for the update.

I took the opportunity of seeing Unexpect live during the Progressive Nation tour since it's unlikely that they would be coming to Sweden again any time soon. I'm really looking forward to the new release.

As most of you know, avant-garde masters uneXpect (or Unexpect, or unexpecT, or whatever) are releasing a new album (I understand avestin posted a similar post back in October).

However, a small update is the title: the new album shall be called Fables of the Sleepless Empire.
A new song has also been released, Orange Vigilantes

The band is just about ready to announce a release date! Cool
