Anyone into this band?
I'll go with What We Have Sown, 27 minutes epic " What Have We Sown" is just over the top for me.

They're trying to be like Porcupine Tree and Smashing Pumpkins meets Radiohead, in my opinion. I enjoy their work okay, but Variations on a Dream is the only album I can sit through from start to finish at this point in my life.

So, I chose that.

I read somewhere the added "the" to their name because PT (Porcupine Tree) LOLnot sure tho, seems a very silly reason.

"Someone Here Is Missing" is my fav followed by "Little Man". I must admit i like all their albums though. Bruce Soord and Steven Wilson are apparently friends and they're on the same label.I think your right about the reason for them putting "THE" in front of PINEAPPLE THIEF.
I read that Steven Wilson years ago was wanting feedback on who should be the opening band for one of their tours and the PINEAPPLE THIEF fans just about crashed his site which is apparently how he and Bruce started conversing.I'm pretty sure Wilson also recommended THE PINEAPPLE THIEF to K-Scope Records after hearing one of their albums courtesy of Bruce.
Okay enough babble from me.

The debut. I don´t comprehend why the last album has such high rating, I really don´t like synths here.

No.  Tongue
I went for Tightly Unwound since it didn't have any votes yet.  Variations was my first, which leads me to my only complaint about the band which is there isn't a lot of variation in the band's music between albums.  So I haven't been a hurry to get their newest one.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I had no idea this band has been going for so long. I've just listened to their new album and it's excellent, it definitely made me interested in them.
