Both classic progressive rock songs from classic progressive rock bands...that both beautifully close their classic albums. Both clocking in at around the same time almost (10+ min.) and with Bruford on drums I feel these two songs could match up pretty evenly. Both with a slow, soothing vocal part... and head spinning instrumentals.
Let's have a clean fight! |

In general I prefer YES but THIS KC's Masterpiece is much better for me than any Yessong.

Starless wins it for me by several country miles. It manages to negotiate wistful, poignant, plaintive, symphonic, jazzy, bombastic, visceral, creepy, joyous, maudlin and all points in-between seamlessly and effortlessly.

I wish there was an option "I like both equally".

Starless is tremendous, but I've been listening to Heart of the Sunrise since I was little kid, I'm more fond of it.
