I'm curious about this volume album! I consider all the parts as great, but I prefer a different one in various moments! Now I'm with Part three.Wink What do you think?

I always liked the first half more than the second. But the part with vocals, the last 9 minutes of part 2, has always been my favourite. So my vote goes to part 2.

I would have to refresh my memory first.

part two - love it, but the whole album is great.

Hard to choose, as it's my favourite Oldfield album anyway... eventually I voted for part four.

I always listen to it as a cohesive album.  No part matters or appeals to me more than another.

The  whole album is a masterpiece but Part 2 takes it for me. Oldfield at his repetitive best and Maddy Prior's exhaustive recitation of Longfellow's Hiawatha is one of the musical highlights of my listening years :-)

Incantations is the first Oldfield album I heard properly (I'd heard Tubular Bells before, but I only kinda skimmed through it and only once) and I already think this is the best prog album ever made. Of course when my initial zeal for the album settles down a bit I might change my mind ;) But still it's 72 minutes of just unexplainable music!

Great album - up there with his best (IMHO) - Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn and Amorak.

Voted Part one - but love all four of the little beauties!

Really tough call as this album is a beauty but I went for Part 3, as that has a sublime guitar section about 3-8 minutes in followed by a heavy prog section with a monster finale. Extremely satisfying.
