The Perotic Theatre is a little knwon German band which mixed symphonic prog with some avandgarde elements. They recorded 2 albums and one EP.

Prometheused (1995) - piano oriented music. a bit neoclassical, a bit avandgarde, a bit symphonic prog and a bit new age. so-so album.

Dryve (1996) - full blon symphonic prog with dominant organ.

Tren D2 Andy (1998) - didn't listen to

Wow, this is one of those rare cases when the band has absolutely no samples at all on YouTube, MySpace or other streaming sites.

Yup, very rare band. But I hope links that I've provided to you will be enough to evaluate them.

Interesting band, for sure. The main source of inspiration is indeed Symphonic Prog, but the music is more diverse than that. Hopefully the team will accept them, I am notifying them right now.

Hey guys, Guigo, Scott and myself have decided that Symphonic is not the best option for Perotic Theater.

We believe that you should send it to ECLECTIC due to the strong Pink Floyd and King Crimson influence blended to some ELP sound.

Thanks for the suggestion, but in this case we pass.

This case also stuck somewhere? I think this suggestion should be re-evaluated as here also most of people agreed that it's surely prog (only not sure which sub-genre).

Looks like Symph voted move but never did the deed. I'll alert the Eclectic team.

As in every case, I notified the team Andy.

Sometimes I do it in their thread others by PM, but always do it.

You must have done it via PM, because I couldn't find a mention of the band in the Eclectic team's thread. Smile

Hey, this band is from 2010

In 2010 (When this band was rejected), we communicated almost exclusively by PM, tried to find the PM but couldn't because the outbox posts vanish when the receiver cleans his/her box.

But with absolute security, Guigo and I sent the PM because we both discussed the issue..
