By the way i have enough in reserves to hit 3,000 but i'm just going to plod along as usual.Hughes will always be "The Man" on this site as far as i'm concerned.

I have enough reserves to pass the 3000th review mark if we let Chris S go nuts and include the full batch of unprog artistes that he wants to include in ProgArchives in the XOver categoryLOL

I've seen plenty of reviews from Mellotron Storm lately, although some days I'll see 6-7 reviews posted in a row by ZowieZiggy... Sean Trane has the lead....

Anyone down for bets?

Oh, and I'll be the first to 4000.

Ziggy will play guitar at 3000 first
but I would have thought for some time Trane would be the 3000 Man.

Well, Î definitely smell that maple syrup coming from behind me >>> I must be standing downwind from John LOL

It's a matter of weeks before John catches up.... I wonder how long I'll manage to jump and stay on that speeding bandwagon

C'm on, Daniel... make this interesting and unleash some 70 reviews in 24h.... we know you can do it!!!LOL

Me too have been a happy owner of a cat. Hence, I know the difference between a cat chasing a mouse & a cat playing with a mouse. My guess is that our Belgian moggy is doing the latter.

I could indeed do this by making half-baked reviews, or even making reviews of albums I only heartd twice or so (but I (almost) never do that), then post them just as late as I can, but what would be the point??? .... ... to screw with my friends John or Daniel??? Confusedand look like an arsehole in doing so???Ouch Naaaaaahh!!!....Shocked

and right now, I'm out of albums that I can readily review....I've got something like 50 albums ahead of me (like Frogg Cafe or French TV), but i simply haven't integrated them enough to actually start rambling on about them. I just reviewed Island's Pyrrho posthumous release after owning it over two years.

Soooo unless I happen to find something I could review without having to listen to it a few dozen of times (The Beatles or Robert Plant come to mind for ex), I'm going about as fast as I can. Tongue

You don't have to defend yourself against me or anyone else, Sean.  Clap

We all chase mouse in our own tempo. A cat sitting on a garden fence post surveying it's kingdom is not bad cat, Sean. In fact; it is a smart cat. It is also a rather good life. Tongue

Sean Trane: 2980
Mellotron Storm: 2955

MS is, virtually spoken, on the lead: he wrote 45 reviews during the last 23 days. ST wrote 20 reviews in 57 days. Continuing at the same rate, MS will reach 3000 on May 8, ST on June 11.

When the 2000 reviews landmark was crossed, I had over 900 reviews spread over Gatot and Erik and Easy Living were not too far behind)

Hugues (that's moiEmbarrassed) seems relatively constant posting between one and seven reviews a week, depending on his time, but he's been posting less of them because often listening to jazz albums in the last year or so. I've been posting reviews since early 04... So of the three, I'm the less prolific in terms of reviews/week, so I'll need the advantage I have

Daniel observes lengthy silence periods and then publishes a flurry of reviews like a madman... in the last twenty days since he's back, he's posted well over 60 reviews.... Daniel has been reviewing since  March 05, but I believe that his rate of reviewing seriously increased in late 06

John is probably the most constant of the three reviewers, his review total never staying three days in a row  the same.... John is reviewing since August 06, so he's quite a contender, as well, because he's by far the newest of the three

So the question is: while that it's clear that both challengers will overtake me in the near-future (and it's about friggin' time tooAngry, coz this #1 label has lost its charm a long time ago and is almost a burdenTongue), but will it happen before the 3000 review mark or past it????
OK hugues. The gauntlet of challenge has been thrown before me. From tonight onwards my dogs will becieving instruction in dog Flemish ( border Flemish dialect ). We all know the planet will be terminated in 2012. right now I've got them going on the entire Octobre discography. Then I,ll get them working on Hawkwind compilations.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The weird part is that  the French-speaking Belgians are often portrayed as under-achievers (our Flemish-speaking compatriots are less polite and diplomatic),  yet the top two reviewer spots are are squatted by two of them. Is prog that much an exception in life?... Wink

Hugues, you have 20 reviews left. Get on with it! LOL
If you need albums, you could always get 20 of Senmuth's 98243759823 albums, although they are completely not your style.

Or you could get Eclectic Prog's Senmuth, Sebastien Gramond!

Awww thanks Hughes but you'll always be numer one around here. I really do think my time at the top will be short because by the summer(or before) i'll be done.Almost 5 years of pretty consistant reviews will be over then you'll eventually pass me again.
