Topic: Picchio dal Pozzo Mettiamo... vs Rush Natural Sci Posted: November 11 2010 at 18:56
I've decided to pit a track that I used to love dearly by Picchio dal Pozzo (joyous), "Mettiamo Il Caso", the longest track off of Abbiamo Tutti... against the longest track off of the most popular album from 1980 -- "Natural Science" off of Rush's Permanent Waves.
Please don't vote unless you've heard both in full, and comments are appreciated.
Hard to choose, but Natural Science takes the cake. Even if it's not one of the best Rush songs, its a hell of alot better than Picchio's music, in general....IMO of course.

I love Picchio dal Pozzo (one of my favourites included in Canterbury Scene music), especially the debut (self-titled) album -- which I think rightfully highly thought of. One thing I like about that track from Abbiamo is the way it reprises music from the debut.
"Natural Science" isn't my favourite from Permanent Waves, I prefer "Jacob's Ladder".
I wouldn't expect music such as these to appeal greatly to that many at PA:

Two amazing tunes but "Natural Science" is one of those tracks that i have a long history with and my feelings for it go beyond the music if you know what i mean.
