Rush is my favorite prog band, but I also like Iron Maiden, and Dream Theater is okay.

Well, Iron Maiden barely beats out Rush which beats out Dream Theater by quite a few miles in my big book of opinions.

Are you asking me to choose? Are you joking? It's extremely difficult to pick one, each of them very excellent bands. Rush has some amazing work that is simply unmatched in quality (2112. "Nuff said.) Geddy's voice (and bass.), Alex's guitar, and Neal's drumming make some of the best sound I've ever heard. Iron Maiden has a sound all its own, and boy, is it a good one. The band has had its ups and downs (Blaze Bayley.) but it has managed to pull through and create some amazing sound quality. Dream Theater, well, its just friggin awesome. There are so many things to say, I mean, have you HEARD John Petrucci? Man dosent make a single mistake ever. (Exaggeration.) And Mike Portnoy's voice is unmatched by anyone. Systematic Chaos, Awake, and Images and Words are some of the best "metal" albums I've ever heard. All three bands are amazing, thus I'm not picking one.
