Iron Maiden is one of my favorite bands and I care not about Rush and DT. I'd even consider Iron Maiden to be way more progressive then Rush.

Can we agree now that Dream Theater isn't a prog band anymore? =p
Since they are losing vs. Iron Maiden on a prog website

Probably one of the most intelligent comments Gene Simmons of Kiss ever said was on the Rush documentary.......

..."what kind of music is Rush?......Its Rush!....."

Rush.  By the way, best singer of the lot is Bruce Dickinson. Sure, LaBrie can go higher, but that's not everything.

I am a big fan of all three.

Rush for their amazing career reinvention over the years, and for the stellar musicianship.

Maiden for their three axe attack, Harris' bass, and their more proggy albums (especially the latest one, where the second half is all songs over eight minutes!Shocked)

DT for their superb instrumental chops, and for Metropolis 2 alone.
Hello, mirror. So glad to see you, my friend. It's been a while...

IMO, all three of these bands can be seen as prog metal, or at least marrying hard rock ideals with prog ones.
Maiden have got a lot more progressive lately with their more recent albums.

I love all of these bands. But I love Dream Theater most. So they get my vote.
All your hearts now seem so far from me,
It hardly seems to matter now.
