Yup, Cage's "As Slow As Possible" definitely takes the cake...it won't be completed until about the year 2640. It's slower than drone music!

PLUS (and I think this detail matters) a few years ago there was a 1000-minute (that's about 17 hours) live performance of part of it, played by 26 people.

I'd say that being able to be performed live is an important part of defining a long piece of music, song, or whatever you wanna call it.
