The longer time's gone on, the less favourably I regard this album. I'm going to go for The Best Of Times, however, as I can really feel the sincerity of the intent behind that song.

i didn't rate this album much but The Count of Tuscany was a real wow moment, the finest thing they've done since Octavarium

i still enjoy A Nightmare to Remember, The Shattered Fortress, The Best Of Times and The Count Of Tuscany a lot. though ive held off listening to this album for a while.
the other 2 i can live without, but throw on every now and then. the next album will affect how much i like BC&SL in the future, because there'll be context for it. |

They really saved the best ones for last on this album. Best Of Times and Count Of Tuscany are the 2 best songs on the album in my opinion. I votes Best Of Times. In my top3 for DT for sure. I just love the way it starts so melancholic and beautiful, then the lyrics come in and it becomes so uplifting and grand. The structure and the overall sound of the song really reminds of Spirit Of The radio by Rush for some reason.
