Melodic Revolution Records is excited to announce the signing of Scarlet Hollow and the release of Sanctuary. Sanctuary is the first of 2 releases by Scarlet Hollow. Sanctuary is a three (3) track EP and is an introduction of what is to come on their full length release "What If Never Was" due out spring 2011.

SANCTUARY EP track listing;
Mud (4:00) Sanctuary (5:21) The Plan (6:42)

The Scarlet Hollow Sound Is...
Powerful, light and dark, ethereal, heavy, melodic music with an emphasis on the rock in progressive rock, respecting the listener’s intelligence by performing and producing high quality music with thought
provoking lyrics and sonic sophistication.

Scarlet Hollow is...
Allison VonBuelow : Vocals, Lyrics, Acoustic Guitars, synth textures.
Gregg Olson : Electric Guitars, Synths, Percussion and Programming.
Jeff  Mack : Bass and Bass Pedals.

  "Progressive Rock" ... I almost hate to use that word to describe Scarlet Hollow's music because it can be such a misunderstood and often frond upon term. In a nutshell I think it simply means music made by people with a high level of musicianship that often blend diverse influences to make music that is not geared towards pop music trends and fashion statements. Scarlet Hollow's music combines hauntingly beautiful and textural sections of music, with very heavy, dark, and powerful sections, often shifting undetectably between odd time signatures yet never losing site of the songs intent and message. The level of musicianship is obviously very high in this band yet nothing seems sterile and polished so much that all the raw energy and emotion is squeezed out of it. Combine all this with one of the most powerful and articulate female vocalist in the world and you have something very very rare ... Music that is subtle in its complexity, challenging yet easily digested, sophisticated yet unpretentious, beautiful and dark.
