That's interesting because I've always understood that they couldn't find anyone suitable which is why Collins stepped out from behind his kit.

They could have thought of Kevin Gilbert, I bet he would have gladly accepted, and on top they would have gained a multi-instrumentalist.
KG probably would have been a good fit, had he been born 12 years or so earlier. They probably weren't looking for 8-year-olds.

But in 96 he was being considered to replace Colins, so you can have a consolation prize.
What?

In 1970, Tony Levin plays bass on the album Jaune (Yellow) by Jean-Pierre Ferland, a famous singer here in Quebec. Jaune and the 3 Harmonium's Albums are the only french speaking reccords that appear on the top 100 canadian album.

He probably needed the work.

I'm going to pose this question. What does Madonna have to do with prog?

He also wrote one song on that album.."That's That", which was also the only song where he sang lead vocals. It's a great album.

Too bad he did not continue with WA...they would have been much better off with him than those that followed him in the early 80s. WA were ghastly from 82-86, although Wetton went on to form Asia, which made money but were AOR and IMHO, horrible.

^yeah, Number The Brave is an excellent album. Don't think much of Twin Barrels Burning or Raw To The Bone, but like Nouveau Calls very much.

Well nothing really but Reggie Lucas was Miles Davis' guitarist for a good part of the early seventies. My point is that the wench didn't appreciate genius if she had a gun held to her head. Instead she just went for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

In 1982, while establishing herself as a singer in Downtown New York, Madonna met Seymour Stein, president of Sire Records, who signed her after listening to her single "Everybody". The success of the single prompted Sire to sign her for an album's deal. For the album, Madonna chose to work with Reggie Lucas, a Warner Bros. producer. However, she was not happy with the completed tracks and disagreed with Lucas's production techniques, so decided to seek additional help with the production. Madonna then invited her boyfriend at the time, John "Jellybean" Benitez, to help her finish the album. Benitez remixed many of the tracks and produced "Holiday".

C'mon. Celine doesn't even know what music is. Celine doesn't even know that planet Earth is the third planet from the sun. Celine doesn't even know how to tie her own shoe laces. You can show me no proof. I'm going to make Kraft Dinner right now. Celine doesn't even know how to make Kraft Dinner. At least I know how to make Kraft Dinner.

The Canadian prog connection confirmed!

Maybe nothing directly, but her frequent musical collaborator Patrick Leonard was one-half of Toy Matinee with Kevin Gilbert.
